Cost of windshield for 22 G70 3.3 Prestige

I am just sick was coming home today and just chilling and out of nowhere smash rock perfectly hits makes a huge gash but I am worried it’s gonna run before I can get it fixed. Does anyone know round about how much it costs for a new windshield for 22 G70 3.3 Prestige? I am really worried if I get a new one all the calibrations lane departure rain sensing and all that stuff will get messed up…… Help Please

You should check with your insurance carrier, whether they will pay to replace the windshield. Mine (Geico) replaced the windshield of my previous car, without any deductible.

When the windshield was replaced, the new one had the same rain sensing feature as the old.

Expensive if you have to pay. Some states require it be covered by insurance to check yours. If you have a HUD, you want an OEM glass too!

Safelite replaced the windshield in my 22 Pathfinder and all the tech was fine afterwards. I did have to pay my $500 insurance deductible.

I've heard that and saw an example where it did not work out. However, I did have my G80's windshield replaced with aftermarket, and the HUD (and the rest of the stuff) is still just as clear and bright as it ever was. I guess that sometimes aftermarket works out. Insurance here doesn't cover it. I don't remember exactly how much, but it was north of $1K.

You may have glass made right along with the OEM but with a different label. It is the ones that come from Bob's Glass and Burger Barn that can be a problem.

The tech that replaced our G70 windshield with Pilkington (aftermarket) glass told me had the car had HUD, he would've recommend going with OEM glass instead. He said it's a crapshoot whether the particular brand of aftermarket glass will look okay with OEM HUD. Even if the paying car owner has no recourse after the install, ending up with an unhappy customer is bad for business.

I had Safelite replace my windshield on a previous BMW with a HUD. It worked fine afterwards.
