Coupes: GenSport United 2013 Spring Run of the Dragon

GenSport Carolinas was founded in 2010 with a primary goal of creating opportunities for owners to network socially and explore performance driving environments to be competitive, and simply for fun. It has now grown into a Genesis Coupe owners community of several hundred members across the US and Canada.

The "Tail of The Dragon" is one of North America's most well-known motorcycle and sports car roads. This stretch of highway on US 129 in Tennessee and North Carolina contains 318 turns in just over 11 miles and no cross-streets. Thousands of drivers come from all over North America and beyond to drive this road every year. The road is often covered with professional photographers and nice rides!

Spring Run:
On April 4-7 2013 we will hold the 3rd Annual Spring Run of The Dragon and would love for each of you to join us. We're all staying at Fontana Village, which is nicely located at the start of Hellbender (another nice road) that takes us to The Dragon.
We had a great trip in the Fall, with close to 100 participants, as well as our first international Genesis Coupe owner. We introduced Gensport United and the idea of bringing together the Genesis Coupe community to learn from each other and develop new relationships. SFR, Invision Auomotion and SixSpeedGraphix were on hand, with SFR providing tunes, and all vendors giving away products and services. We also had several other vendors contribute to prize drawings and free swag for registered members. We would like to thank Discount Tire, PRW, ARK, Diode Dynamics for contributing to the community.
Note: We strive to have an awesome time with great scenes and great people. These mountain roads are plenty of fun at speeds close to and under posted speed limits. If you decide to push the limits you are taking a risk of a speeding ticket or a crash. By no means do we encourage anyone driving beyond their comfort zone!
Event Info and Registration:
As we continue to try to provide the best experience for this event, we are always looking for feedback from the participants as to what they would like to see at the event. We have a registration form that we ask all attendees to complete with contact information and basic questions to coordinate the activities of the event. We will be once again offering t-shirts for the event.

Lodging Group Rate Available:
We will once again be staying at the Fontana Village Resort. Fontana offers 1, 2 and 3 bedroom cabins as well as lodge rooms. Additional cabins and lodge rooms will be released for our use if not filled by the other groups staying at Fontana as we get closer to the date of the trip.

- 3BR/2 bath Hemlock Cabin --- $229.00
- Some people have reserved rooms already so please call soon to make your reservation
- Make sure to mention that you are part of the "Genesis Coupe Spring 2013" group when calling to make reservations
- The deadline to reserve a room under the group rate is 2/21/2013
- Reservations require the first night to be paid in full at the time the reservation is made
- The remainder of the balance will be due at checkout
- A military discount of 10% is available but cannot be added on top of the group rates
- Most cabins have various couches and some have sofa beds. We encourage people to bunk up to split the cost of the cabin.
