  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a new 2019 Genesis G90, 5.0. With only 500 miles I got a cracked windshield after going through a car wash. I don’t think it was the car wash but the pressure put on the windshield when it was being wiped cleaned. This is just a guess but the cracked windshield was real. Anyone else have the same problem?

Hundreds of people have over the years. Thermal stress is often the culprit. Even at 500 miles you may have gotten a tiny chip you did not see and that exacerbates the problem.
Often it is cold water on a hot windshield. Sucks to have it happen on a new car. Hope you have full glass coverage.

I've had it happen once with water from a fire hydrant when I drove down my street.

Reminds me to add glass coverage to my ins.policy.
