cruise control failure to cancel

just began having problem that my cruise control will not disengage when i press the "Cancel" button on my steering wheel. also had occurrences on the same drive of being unable to reduce speed with the thumb control...increasing works fine. any others experiencing same?

It sounds like some of the buttons on your steering wheel may be wearing out. I haven't experienced those problems with cruise control, but I have with other steering wheel buttons (e.g., one of the scroll wheels on my steering wheel only works in one direction).
