  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just purchased a brand new GV70 from an out of state dealership. The car arrived a couple days ago and on inspection I noticed some curb rash on one of the rims. I'm in contact with the dealership to see what can be done, but I'm curious what you all would do in this situation. This was seen on photos prior to transport as well, just didn't notice it on the photos the dealership sent to me.

If it was just a chip I'd probably live with it but that's pretty rough. I'd make them order a new wheel or not buy it.

Local shop can repair it but dealer should pay. Or they send you a new wheel. Should not have been shipped like that if new.

If it was the dealers shipper, it's on them. If it was your shipper, the dealer will likely deny any responsibility.
