  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello all, I wanted to ask a fun question.

I have had my GV60 for 3 months & really enjoying it. I can't decide what I should program / set the custom buttons on the steering wheel.

So I thought I would toss it out to the forum to hear what other owners are using them for.

So.... what do you use those 2 buttons for?

David

Three programmable buttons total if you include the one in the center-stack.
I have the one on the left programmed for Home; the right, for the EV info, and the star in the center set as CarPlay.

I have used the black dot on the steering wheel to cancel route guidance on the sat nav

Bottom right alternates between DAB radio and USB player/drive. Upper left is for maps (though I have changed it a few times).

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I use the left button to bring up the map, right button for home screen

One thing that baffles me is why they don’t allow each of the buttons access to the same functions. There are some options that you can map one button to, but not the other. Why?

I use the top left button for map and the top right button for EV Info.

How do you set it to CarPlay. I don't see an option for this... maybe I'm missing something?

Bumping this to see if there are any more programming suggestions for these three buttons.

My setup
center console custom button = android auto (this can't unfortunately be set to any of the steering wheel buttons)
dot = EV
the other steering wheel custom button = play/pause media (works also with android auto)

I use the custom button on the sterring to terminate (hang up) phone calls.
