Our 2013 Genesis that we bought has a cracked dashboard. Our original 2013 Genesis bit the dust during Helene the hurricane this year. Approximately how long does it take to replace a dashboard and the cost. I appreciate any help as I have never run into this problem before. Thank you

Welcome to the forum. Dash replacement is a pretty major endeavor, so won't be cheap. Do you have a reputable repair shop in the area? Or do you know of one in the surrounding area(s)?

Also, I don't know what the laws are for this kind of thing, but for someone else to answer, is it legal to have the VIN tag from the old dash moved over to the new one? (The one at the base of the windshield) *I don't know if that is a big deal or not, it may or may not be allowed. Ask someone else with more knowledge than me...

There are a few videos on YouTube about removing the dash and consoles on the Genesis sedan.

I don't believe the VIN tag is part of the dash? I just looked at mine and it is part of the windshield/cowl frame...and I could be mistaken.

That would make sense. It’s been a long time since I had to actually remove a dash, so I could easily be wrong. :unsure::)
