  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The dashboard speaker grill on my 2012 has an irregular surface to it. In certain light you can see that it is not uniform in shape and you can definitely feel the high and low spots when you run you hand over it. I went to the dealer to see if I could get it replaced under warranty, and the service rep showed me a 2012 and 2013 on the lot which both had the same problem. Is everyone else's speaker grill the same as mine? BTW, it is made of plastic, so you can't just try to bend it back into shape.

Odd, I thought it was aluminum and have cleaned it numerous times...guess I really never noticed the high/low spots, or mine is not as bad as some possibly.

Mine is that way too.

It may very well be aluminum, I put a magnet on it and it did not grab. That's why I assumed it was plastic...of course if it is aluminum it wouldn't attract the magnet.

I'm pretty sure it's plastic. I've looked at mine pretty often considering it's mostly in your line of sight on the dash...it's "minorly" imperfect with a subtle waviness, but not enough to bother me fortunately:o Can really only see it from certain angles.
