  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Day 15! - Rear ended at a red light

Update: Still in the shop. 10-15 more days, at least. Car has been at the shop for 2x as long as I have had it since I purchased it. 30 days vs. 15.

5 weeks for mine and it has to go back today since the shop damaged my drivers seat and dash. at least they are making it right and replacing the damaged parts.

Looking at Monday or Tuesday. Badges, trim, and off to the dealer for calibration on the BSM.

I hope everything is repaired to your liking and specifications. Wish you well!!

Welp, I *still* have not gotten the car back. It has been at the dealer since the 18th as they chase down a code related to the rear antenna. Supposedly one of the master technicians will be looking at it today.....

Dealer is now replacing the rear wiring harness. Due to the holiday and waiting on the part I am looking at next Friday at the earliest. All because someone couldn't put their phone down while driving.

The rental Kia Sportage is fine as basic transportation I guess.

Well, the repair portion of the ordeal is over, still working out the DV claim with the other party's insurance.

Right at $8k after the supplemental and the dealer work to replace the entire rear wiring harness.

yeah I have to do my DV.. insurance is requiring 2 appraisals. I am looking to use these sites:

Diminished Value Report | Diminished Value Assessments and Diminished Value Claims and Diminished Value Appraisals

California Diminished Value | AutoLoss Diminished Value Experts

they only asked for a report/appraisals, figured I would give them these to start. only $12

There was a Black G80 Sport being unloaded at the repair shop when I picked up my baby.

I'm waiting to hear back what they say on the DV. Whether the make an offer, ask for appraisals, or tell me to get bent.
