  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I posted a thread awhile back stating that my car was having a vibration and pulling issue that neither Carmax nor the Hyundai dealer could figure out what was causing it. Well after about a month in the shop Carmax decided to go ahead and buy the car back, I am sad as I fell in love with my Genny who was casa blanca white, they gave me the option to get me into another genesis but as I have seen in these forums it seems this car is prone to this issue with no recourse, so instead I went with a 2016 black fully loaded Hyundai sonata sport. I will miss my Genny but dont want to chance running into the same issue with the car plus I saved my self over $4,000, it was nice knowing you guys and owning a genesis for the short time of a month.

Sorry it didn't work out for you. I had 3 Sonata before getting a Genesis. They were good too, you should like it.

Yeah... that was a train wreck for sure. Glad that they did right by you in the end.

I'm more inclined to think that particular car had some deep seated issues like a wreck or some other damage that they weren't aware of. You can't always trust a Carfax report - my dealer told me that some states aren't even required to report anything and that many times used cars can be funneled through those states and emerge elsewhere with "clean" reports... Always get the car inspected by a trusted mechanic or if that's not convenient, take a car savvy friend with you to put an impartial set of eyes on it.

I had a similar issue when I purchase a CPO car on September from Jim Ellis. According to them they are #1 CPO dealers in GA. And stupid salesman said that's normal. Whenever I turn on AC. Car rattle and vibrates it almost made me obnoxious. I was able to return the car and test drove two vehicles and I picked up one that was less rattle. Unfortunately, I had to pay $2000 more for that car. I'm not going there again. Disappoint how they set CPO vehicles that are imperfect.

Less rattled? So you mean the other one you got rattled but less?

third vehicle I test drove with AC on was less rattle. you can feel it when you hold steering wheel.
My first one was bad. really bad but, salesman was saying that's normal.I bought it on saturday and return it on Monday. I was so so pissed. I thought CPO suppose to be perfect condition and that car was tottally imperfect. in & out. I complained to the general mgr and gave me 3 year oil change for paying $2000 extra for car that I wasn't expected.

On these cars, you should feel next to nothing... Hyundai's not too careful about inspecting them either.
