  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Was just bored. I have called 4 dealers in NJ, so I will just post what I could find. This is the Northern New Jersey. Please post the dealers in your area here so more people can benefit. I will update them if I do find some new infos. This is just for the infos so you can reference if the car you are looking for is availiable or not and where it can be located.

Hudson Hyundai: (Jersey City, NJ)
-Stock: Yes (3 cars)
-Colors: Black, Red
-Tech Package: No.

Paramus Dodge, Hyundai: (my nearest dealer, Paramus, NJ)

Cool..

Just watch out for excessive title and documentation fees. Some dealers charge thousands for these. I would guess $100 to $200 would be fair.

And advertising fees, sometimes they add a bundle for this. They tell you it is added to every car they sell for advertising.

There are good dealers out there, it is just finding them. A good salesman never makes you feel like he took you or got the best of you. Ever.

I love buying a car from a good salesman. No surprises, you can relax and enjoy your purchase.

I hate when the agreement changes, they hit you with arbitration favorable to them, extra thousands. You have to decide to walk or swallow it. Either way it ruins the whole experience.

Yeah, My Pontiac dealer imo, was one of the better ones. He was clear from the beginning that there won't be much markup($400 from the Invoice price I think is not too bad, although I think I could have done a bit better come to think of it now, on a discontinueing model since I wanted that car more than that Aussie built G8) and clearly let me know that there will be $95 doc fee which he told me he just simply HAD to get for it was the rule(well, I tried to fight him over it, but since it's only a measly 100 bucks, I gave in). He followed through every process one by one, even when I want there to sign the paper, which I think every dealer should be like. Unlike one of the dealer I went to that pressured me and even forced me to call home in order to seal the deal on spot, on the first visit, who didn't even have any computer screens for us to look at, whom also refused to give me the quote in writing, whom I have labeled them as the dealer to avoid at all cost.

Hopefully, the Hyundai Dealers isn't that bad, for I would LOVE to see the vehicles on streets and wish them to succeed, as a fellow Korean, rather than them fail miserably due to the bad dealership treatment.

I thought documentation fee was something that could be take out, but people seem to be paying it.

If they don't (or even if the do) have a computer/screen, why not just bring your own laptop, with your own spreadsheet that you fill-in to crunch the numbers.

Very informative video. Nice find...

Wayne Mazda just got their first V6 tech package-black/black. I might be nit picking quite a bit but the aluminum on the multimedia controller seemed a bit thin and bright compared to what I have seem on competitors. I did not get a chance to test drive or really play with it so this is just a knee jerk reaction. On the surface it seems hard to justify the $4000 difference...PP package has almost everything you want...

They also got a Platinum/black V6 PP. The Platinum is a really nice color and the Genesis looks great in it. Still waiting to see the Sapphire Blue Pearl and a saddle interior on any car. I need the strength to wait for V8, the black/black tech was very tempting....Looks like Paramus has sold 3 V6 PP over the weekend-just 2 left-black/cashmere V6PP and Cabernet/black V6P.

I can tell you what dealers don't have in stock right now - at least any dealers in a 500 mile radius of Minneapolis - and that is a Titanium Grey w/Black Interior V-6 Tech package.

I have used the Auto Trader checker daily and I finally found one about 450 miles away but after calling the dealership they explained it was the GM's demo car and already had about 800 miles on it. No thanks - not if I am going to lay out this much for a new car.

Seriously, I know this has been discussed in other threads but how can there not be a "master tracking" list showing when this model/trim would be arriving in a Minnesota or Wisconsin show room? Hyundai must know that much, wouldn't they??

Still learning about stuff buried in the Tech Pak. The manual for the Driver Information System is an additional 248 pages beyond the owners manual. The obvious biggy is the Nav system which is exquisite. Absolutely dead on, with many cool display options. Not quite so obvious is the DVD vs. CD system. Even though you cannot view a DVD in drive, the audio is fabulous. If you have ever heard a music DVD on a good home theatre system, you'll know what awaits in the car. Dolby 7.1 or DTS surround sound. And you can crank it! Totally unknown is the "car settings" display. It is here you can set the option to tilt up the wheel and move the seat back when you turn off the car. Both are independent of each other. And finally, something I have never seen until a few hours ago, cooled seats. Very nice, especially here in FL at 95+.

Did you say cooled seats or cooled seat??? :D
