  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Had a clunking sound coming from the front end, so I took it in to Chapman Hyundai in phoenix. They said a control arm bushing had cracked, which they replaced. The sound was noticeably better, but still had a mild clunking sound when braking and accelerating, especially at low speed. Took it back in, technicians said they couldn't find anything. Came home and heard it again. Decided to park the car and push on the front end to rock it back and forth. Heard something rolling around behind the radiator. Turned out to be a 4" bolt. Assuming the tech never reinstalled it. Anyone recognize the bolt, and possibly where it belongs??

Took it back into the dealership this morning. Turned out the bolt belongs to a crossmember. They said the bolt probably "loosened over time and worked itself out." I strongly doubt that, if its true it makes me question all of the other bolts installed in this car...

Wow. It looks like a cross member bolt now that I look at it with that in mind. Those typically don't work their way out. I wouldn't be too worried about other bolts on the car...just the dealership ;)
