I'm currently leasing a 19' G70 Sport Prestige, fully loaded. I got what I believe was the best lease deal ever and the buyout is even juicier.
I have the opportunity of buying mine for $32k when similar models are selling for $40k+
I had one hell of a conversation with a local dealership in regards to leasing a new vehicle, regarding the 22' G70 or GV70.
The first thing out of the salesman's mouth was "chip shortage." Dead to me.
Now, being a car guy I'm aware of what's happening and not just within the auto industry; however, that's LITERALLY their only negotiation tactic.
I plan on calling all dealerships across the nation to find one willing to actually negotiate or give me another amazing deal. Remember, you are NOT stuck with your local dealership. Look elsewhere and crunch the numbers. Shipping a vehicle can provide a better deal.
Never tell a salesperson everything. Wait till you get to the finance guy. This is the one you have to beat.
