  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So I test drove the car which was white and really nice and very smooth, the price with cash was 7,000. Do you think its worth it? Is the car reliable to not break down on me with that many miles? I really like that car and kinda want it but need opinions on choices.

NIce looking car and probably drives and handles great! In the end it's your choice and your the one who has to live with your decisions but be aware of a few observations while making a decision.
Without trying to deflate your hopes and regardless of the car's appearance and driveability it's valued at about $5000 from KBB. Roughly translated it means more than likely this vehicle has passed it's trouble free years and has entered the high maintenance zone.
Cars like Genesis are a very low production and poorly supported car for aftermarket parts meaning that any parts required to maintain your vehicle may be either expensive or not available. Good choices for highmilers are high production cars that also have a large aftermarket parts supply in place to keep them running; think GM, Ford, VW. Toyota etc.

I agree. It may go another 170,00 miles, but could throw a rod next week.
Just be aware of the risk and are you willing to take the financial exposure. Personally, I'd only consider it at a very low price, about half the asking. Your money, your choice.
