  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Very odd thing happened today. Wet surface (snow tires), pulling out the tires cut loose... I stayed on the gas but computer cut out, so I let off the gas. once traction was regained (just after I let off the gas) the car surged ahead and spun up the rpm.

It acted like the fuel was "standing by" waiting for the computer to allow power and then delivered what I had asked for 3 seconds earlier..

I really don't now how to explain it, I know the car will cut power when traction is lost, but why would it dump fuel into the system if I am not on the gas?

I hate these "drive by wire systems".

ESC because of tire spinning. Mine has done it too right after ESC kicked in

Yes, ECS for sure. I just went through a snow storm and got absolutely no power when all tires are in the snow, gas pedal was floored. When I turned ECS off, immediate power. The ECS system is sensitive and fast.
