  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Has anyone successfully deleted a paired phone on a 2012 R spec (or similar).

Thank you.

My HTC one M8 will "jam" the bluetooth system in my 2012 (and my old 2009 tech) by simply being powered on with the BT radio turned on in the phone. It doesn't have to be paired to the car, just on and within about 30 feet or so.

When Jammed, the car head unit BT system cannot connect a phone, pair a phone, or delete a pairing. The BT stack in the car remains "jammed" until I turn off the car and restart. Then as long as the M8 BT radio is off, I can pair/connect/delete/etc.

Try turning off all bluetooth radios near the car (earpieces, phones, portable speakers, stereo equipment, PC keyboards, etc.). Or if you live in a "modern" house with teenagers+ and have no idea how many BT devices may be present... drive somewhere far away from everything electronic and attempt the delete.
