  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

If you are the original owner, have done all the Maintenance and it's not a 2012 oil burner, I think it should without any problem.

Will the 5.0 V8 last 200000 miles?
I believe the 5.0 engine can last 200k miles with proper oil changes to reduce internal engine wear(timing chain guides and chain tensioners) and by changing the transmission fluid every 60k miles or so to also reduce wear(clutches and solenoids). The 5.0 engine seems to be engineered to last after the 2015 updates. The 2013 and 2014 5.0 engine seems to be well made as well. However, the early 2012 5.0 engines got bad piston rings so those engines are not too reliable.

Might need a walnut shell treatment for intake-valve buildup at 100k, but otherwise it should be fine.
