  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

was looking at a 2011 and was just curious. thanks

Hyundai Genesis Suspension Changes:
  • Minor change mid 2009
  • Moderate change 2010 model year
  • Noticeable change 2012 model year
  • Completely new suspension for 2015 model year

With others mentioning upgrading their pre-2012 suspensions with 2012 suspensions, I believe it was updated in 2012 (for the 2009-2014 design).

Just my take on comparisons - my 2014 5.0 R Spec has noticeably improved suspension over my previous 2011 4.6. Body roll is significantly lessened.
While certain reviews by pros have called it a harsh ride, I would disagree. Just firmer and more secure on the road. I haven't driven the year models in between so I cannot comment on incremental improvements from 2011 to 2014.

since i'm still considering a 14 r spec , that's good to know- thanks. what kind of a deal did you get on you 14 , just curious.

I was able to get almost 20% off MSRP but the dealer gave me a very attractive trade in value for my 2011 4.6 and this influenced the bottom line to my advantage. Plus the RSpec was a demo model which further blurred the real dollar discount of the sale. All of this added together for a very good value for a great car. It's a rocket with many amenities.
