  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Traded in this car to these people for my G70 .

They gave me $9500 and they're selling it for 15, 995. It is a regular and not ultimate G80. It did need new wheels because of severe road rash.

I did get a pretty good deal on the car I bought but still, think I should of not have settled for $9500?

New wheels are not cheap so factor that. You say they are selling it for 15995. Actually, they are asking for that and may get less in the end.
They have: wheels, possibly tires, detailing, paperwork, insurance, taxes. advertising and other overhead. They may sell it for asking tomorrow or they may sell it for 13k nine months from now. They have risk.

Best thing to do is enjoy your new car and never look back. You were satisfied the day you signed the papers and nothing you can do now.

What did you expect them to sell it for? Used cars is where dealers make money. Most of the time, they are losing money on new car sales before the manufacturer hold back kicks in. Then they take your car, have to invest in an oil change, any repairs that are needed, detail, paying someone to take pictures for the website, whether it's an employee, or outside company. We average about $1k in repairs on every used car coming through our door. Plus detail, pictures, etc. You said the wheels were severely damaged. If they could be repaired, we pay our wheel repair guy $125 per wheel. With only having 71k miles on it, they can still sell a warranty on it to whoever buys it next. They can't sell it with problems. Plus, negotiating with whoever buys it. Wouldn't be surprised if they negotiate another 2-3k off of that price.

Edit: misunderstood post

Dealership bro here. Just confirming that we /will/ pick apart your trade and make money off it. That being said, it's expensive to put a retail trade on the lot, and a dealer generally wants to sell a car with a few grand in markup (at least in the beginning)

In other words you were just another regular customer and got the normal treatment.
