  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi all,

I have an '10 3.8 Tech Package and I noticed yesterday that the average speed given by the DIS is not related to the speedometer display.

I was on the highway with speed set at 110km/h on the cruise control and no car in front of me. I reset the DIS Average Speed indicator, but it would only reset to 105km/h.

I know it is normal to have an actual driving speed below what is displayed by the speedometer so I checked Nav info and the car was actually rolling at 105-106km/h...

Is the average speed calculated with information coming from the Nav System? Or is it coming from the ECU? Is there something I should have checked or calibrated?

Thanks in advance!
