If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Dear im not teasing at all, i just liked to share with you guys, and yes its a camera for blind spot monitoring while parking, but note that in korean version we dont get 3.8 GDI and 5.0 rspec, the engine options are 3.8 MPI 290 hp and 4.6 tau, so you guys getting better engines that us, actually im sad to not own a GDI, i can give up all these stuff like camera n others to get your engines :(

I think the options available on the Genesis in almost every country should also be made available in the United States.
I mean after all, 130,000 US Solders where killed or wounded defending South Korea from the communist invasion of their country in 1951 and to this day 28,500 troops are stationed in South Korea for protection from North Korea, which allows Hyundai to manufacture vehicles in a free society.
Kind of an oxymoron wouldn’t you think, that Americans didn’t have access to all the options available on these vehicles that are available almost everywhere else?
Strange way of saying “Thanks for all you did for us and continue to do” wouldn’t you think?

The difference is not too big to talk about such subjects, you americans getting better genesis than us n with much cheaper price, Genesis here is much more expensive and also the engines are NON GDI 3.8 and tau 4.6 only. There r no 5.0 r spec and no 3.8 GDI. As i said the Genesis in US is much better with only little difference that even no need to talk about..

I hope you're joking because this was pretty dumb. Last time I checked, companies are in the business of producing a profit for share holders, not structuring their offerings to be representative of their home country's foreign relations stances.

I agree, I think it was very short-sighted and dumb not to offer the cooled passenger seat on the NA version. Can't think of a good reason in my mind why they would do that.

Power trunk lid would also be handy.

Maybe you forgot about the part mentioned where the KDM and Middle East Genesis is significantly more expensive than the US version, even accounting for the fact that US versions have larger engines. That might be one good reason.

In addition to those we also don't get navigation system..

Are you for real?? If that's your way of thinking maybe you also want a free Peugeot, since the US helped liberate France during WWII??

I doubt that it costs significantly more to manufacture without a cooled passenger seat though. Matter of fact I bet it doesn't even save them much money when you factor in that on the production line you have to have separate parts for the same car depending which market it is destined for.

Here in Southern California I'd much prefer a seat cooler than a heater..

OK, I guess you think Hyundai executives and management are complete idiots for excluding features that don't actually cost more to include?. I doubt it. I think all those differences combined do cost more and is the reason they were not included, since the US version is quite a bit less expensive than KDM version. Now, I might agree with you that some of those extra features would be nice to have even if they charged a little more for the Genesis, but I guess they felt like they had to draw the line somewhere. I have a lot of reservations about HMA and their willingness to fix problems, but I don't question their marketing expertise.

The KDM version of the Genesis is not much less than the US version of Equus, which does have all those goodies (and a lot more).

All of those KDM options are available in the US. It is called the Equus.
