Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message

Different Engine Covers?

I was wondering if anyone has tried to do something different with their 5.0L engine covers... the ones from the 2012.

I notice the later model Genesis such as the 2017 use the same 5.0 Tau as the 2012. Do you guys think the engine cover from that model will fit the 2012 sedan? I notice from pictures that the top 2 mounting points are the same but it appears the lower 2 are not the same mounting points but they could probably be drilled into the manifold cover in the same spot and held in with nuts on the bottom... what do you guys think?

Or has anyone had any luck painting theirs or getting it carbon wrapped? Idk I just want a different look for my engine cover...
