  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The screen function talks about displaying the screen clock in digital or analog form and a screen saver. Anyone know how to display the "electronic" clock on the screen?

I saw it once at the showroom but have been unable to set it up for display in the car. In any mode. Anyone know?

Screen clock screensaver etal

I can see how to set the format of the screen clock but can't actually display it. Settings even talk about a screensaver.

I saw it displayed on the screen in the dealership but can't for the life of me get it show on my car.

Anyone know?

I think you need to shut off the radio. Maybe someone else knows for sure.

yes push and hold the button to power off the radio and it will shut down the infotaintment system and display the screen saver.

It is kind of a useless option unless your not a music enthusiast. My stereo comes on when the car is turned on. Never use/seen the screensaver.

Ahhh.... There you go.... Thank you. But as you say, not much value if you want the radio on. I thought it would be a nice alternative to simply turning the display off all together. Oh well, maybe something for a future app.

how do I make the time and date display on my screen? The GPS option, along with the daylight savings options will not allow me to select any of them.

Hi there. We had the same problem that just started yesterday. What worked for us was, with the car running, go to the touch screen menu, hit the set-up button, then system info button, and update the system. Even though we were using the "current" program, running an update solved our problem. Hope this helps.

Seem to be multiple threads about clock problems. On another thread, it was pointed out if you park outside ( to access satellites ), with car running, use a paperclip to push the reset button on the infotainment part of the dash, next to the Sirus XM logo. On my 2015, that logo was small and hard to see. Was upper right, just above the CD slot. Press the reset button for about 5 seconds. Screen goes black for a few seconds. On my car, the Genesis logo appears, and then when the regular "Home" display returns, the date & time will appear at the top. Fixed the problem for me. Tried the screensaver mentioned by the OP. Works, and looks pretty nice. However, of no real use, as the music is always on.
