  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I may have missed it, but I cannot find any thread related to my issue. I went out to take my car to the store, and upon startup the center digital cluster is in Korean suddenly. I have not done anything and have no idea how to change this back to English. The set up on the center screen is set for English, any ideas????

Hopefully you've solved this by now, and maybe you've found a root cause! Mine has done this quite a few times now, I noticed it has happened mostly when I use the fob to remote start but it could just be coincidence. Funnily enough, it happened to me immediately after I sat in it as the owner outside of the front doors of the dealership. The salesman was confused and we had a good laugh as the manual was too lengthy so I started to brute force my troubleshooting.

The fix is to visit the language settings through the infotainment screen which, if your case is the same as all of mine, will still be in English. Simply search 'language' in the settings, click English, and it will correct the digital cluster. Sometimes it will fix itself between trips, I've left it in Korean a few times now on my way to work and on lunch/on the way home it will be corrected.

I'm unsure as to exactly why it happens but I have noticed that the car will forget my seat settings as well. It lost my first and subsequent second seat settings. As this happened twice within a week and since I don't move my seat very often, I didn't bother to set it again as it became more of an inconvenience to fiddle with it. A month passes of me occasionally hitting the seat setting after a slight adjustment just to test if it was still stored and no dice. I sat down this weekend and felt that my seat definitely was in a new position, way too far from the wheel and that my driver's side-view mirror was now way out of line with where I like them. I hit the seat setting button and the seat popped back into my old seat setting! It didn't correct the mirror however. Have you experienced anything like this so far?

I don't have memory seats, and the cluster has been good for a while now. The system did an auto update a few days ago so I'm curious to see what new glitches come around.

Hasn't done this in a while, but still not convinced it's solved
