  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My 2023G 90 has been a superb vehicle since I got it in November and I’ve been using the digital key for the last seven months. All of a sudden it stopped working and I can’t find out why. I have called the national number and they were not able to get it working again. Any ideas from anyone? Thank you.

Your car was probably part of the national update glitch that reset customers' cars back to factory settings. Most likely, it just needs to be set up again.

Part of it still works if I go through about 15 stops including using what’s in my wallet on my iPhone and then putting the iPhone in the charger and yadi yadi yadi. They said they have to turn it over to engineering and they will get back to me in eight days.

So, I work for a dealer and have my digital key connected to a GV60 on our lot. Sure enough, it stopped working for me too right after reading your comment, haha. I went and deleted it from the car and set it up again, and now it's working perfect again.

Thank you so very much! I was doubtful because corporate had said that they did not have a solution and had turned it over to engineering but I decided to go ahead and try it anyway and it worked! Great Father’s Day present today. Thank you.

Old thread revival here...are your Digital Keys still working. I got a GV60 on July 5th and am on my 3rd failure of the DK2. From my original post...

Fairly easy setup. Once setup, by design, I could walk up to the car and it would unlock. Inside the car, I could start the car with the phone in my pocket. I added my Watch (3 actually) and all worked well for about a week. Then it didn't, and upon invoking the key/card in Apple Walt, the commands were greyed out and it said "unavailable". So I deleted the key and then re-added it. all was well again. Then again, about a week or so later, it happened again. This time I called Genesis and they walked me thru the same process I'd done on my own. The person I spoke with said she could see in her system that the key was disabled (or similar verbiage). Anyway up and running again, but this time I didn't add the Watch, concerned with too much tech all at once. Again, things worked normally for a period, and again ceased. But I've noticed that things do actually work, they just now require "validation". So if I invoked the key form Wallet, and authenticate on the iPhone, I can unlock the door. Again, when I get in the car, I can press the brake, and then the power button. I'm asked to verify the digital key. Again, if I do the same procedure as unlocking (invoke Wallet and authenticate on the phone) and THEN place the phone in the charging tray, I can then start the car.

I experience the same thing as what I think the OP experienced...it still technically works, but no longer as a passive key that can remain in your pocket. It reverts to a need to be authenticated and placed near the door handle and then on the charger to start.

Frustrated!

I had to delete everything and start from scratch. It then started working again. Very frustrating. Make sure you delete everything and uninstall including My Genesis app. Then reinstall from scratch.

Ok. Pretty sure they had me delete the app as well, but I’ll try again.

Yours has been working correctly for a while? What’s your setup? Car/iPhone, etc.

Thanks!

My set up is car/iPhone/Apple Watch/wallet
My 2023 G90 has been working fine since I did that. Good luck!
We shouldn’t have to be going through this kind of stuff and I told corporate that as well.
The My Genesis app keeps showing my car residing in California even though it’s never been there and I live in Plano, TX.
They need to clean this stuff up.
