  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Reportedly, the new Sonata/i40 will be getting an upgraded 2.4L Theta II GDI engine rated at 200 HP.

The current Theta II in the Sonata gets 175 HP, so that's a bump of 25 HP (if Hyundai manages to hit the target of 200 HP).

When the Genesis gets updated GDI engines, it's likely that we'll be seeing around 310 HP for the 3.8 and over 400 HP for the 4.6.

Not to mention increased fuel economy and cleaner tail pip emissions. The only negative is that it will be trickier for the aftermarket performance shops to get more power out of the engines.

On another note, dont forget the 8 speed transmission.

Ok so what would a 425 Hp direct injected Tau be good for?

The nanny already kicks in a partial throttle...

having said that, If there was much better MPG I would be jealous of that.
