  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

For the past two years I have been experiencing odd headlight issues when using my directional to change lanes. The headlights will occasionally flicker, go out, or switch to brights all by themselves. I suspect it is a bad connection or short in the directional/headlights stock.
My question is:
How difficult is it to replace the headlight/Directional stock on the steering column. Should it be left to professionals given the proximity of the airbag?

I've had this same issue twice, I have a 2013 Genesis R Spec. The first time when my lights would flicker while using the turn signals, the car was still under warranty. So it was fixed for free. Fast advance 3 years and I am experiencing the same issue again! But of course, the dealership balked at repairing again for free since the car is no longer under warranty. I believe this to be a safety issue and I have lodged a complaint with the NHTSA. There are already several complaints registered with the NHTSA. If everybody who is having this issue register a complaint with the NHTSA, it might inspire Hyundai to do the right this and issue a recall for this safety issue.
