  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My wife has a 2012 Sedan with the base 7 speaker system. Contrary to what I have read, yes, even the 7 speaker system has speed sensitive volume, primarily in the lower bass octaves...and it drives both of us nuts! Does anyone know how to disable this feature? Is there a hidden menu, perhaps? Through all of my digging, I couldn't find the option to turn it off anywhere.

When I purchased my 2012 Genesis sedan with the 7 speaker sound system, I was also disturbed by the speed system volume control. I asked the service technician during an oil change if they could disable it. He checked the Genesis service manual and was not able to find anything in the service manual concerning disabling it. I hope we get answers from the other forum members as to if there is actually a way to disable it regardless of what the service technician said.:(

Doesn't sound promising...fingers crossed.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Next option would be retrofitting a standard double DIN head unit. Anyone have an info, or a tutorial, on how this was done? The head unit in the picture below is a Kenwood. I have no interest in the Unavi.

I looked into it for my 2013 base and couldn't find anything either.
The head unit is pretty terrible, speakers sound good though.

Could we put in the touchscreen from the premium package? That doesn't need the nob, speaker outputs would be all goofy I guess.
