Discounted Extended Warranty

Hello

I'm looking to purchase Genesis Branded Extended Warranty, of course at a discounted price.

2022 GV80 - still within it's 5yr/60,000.

I've always had good luck posting on forums asking other owners which locations offered them a discounted extended warranty.

I've purchased Toyota, Ford and BMW extended warranties through dealers within other states for $500-$1000 over "their actual cost".

Has anyone purchased Genesis Branded Extended Warranty and felt like they got a deal?

If so, can you please share your model, price you paid and what location you purchased it from?

I had a 2017 G90. Just before its warranty expired in 2022 I started looking. NOTHING then and since. Nothing verifiable with actual costs and a picture of the warranty from page to show it’s really from Genesis. A lot of dealers will offer a 3rd party warranty for less but I don’t trust what it covers or who backs it.

If you get a Genesis price and someone says to shop around, you can do better. Tell the to prove it. Talk is cheap.

The only way I’ve heard of discounted pricing is getting it when you negotiate the car price. They say it’s less but who knows where the dealer is actually making up the difference (car price? Trade in?). Too late for me and probably you anyway.

What were the offers you got from your dealer? I got $400-500 off (at least) and they gave me lifetime concierge at the dealership. It is good for an additional 5 years, up to 96,000 miles. It is the Genesis VSP, it is the only one they sold I believe.

I have not found a reasonably priced dealership. What's the difference between a Genesis VSC and VSP warranty. What dealership and what's the name of the contact person where you bought yours?

If I decide to keep this car past 5 years, I will be looking at it myself. Just not sure what I am doing. I have not had a ton of issues with this car, but a lot more issues that my last 3 cars put together.

Thank you. I've called approximately 10 dealerships and all of them quoted a different price. The online site price was the most expensive.

I tried to price it out for my 25 G70.

It will give me a price for the maintenance contract but not the vehicle service contract.

I cannot be sure if this is a Genesis warranty (backed by Genesis)

I just noticed that. It is explained on the Genesis Finance website. I purchased Platinum vehicle protection. I have used the ding and dent portion, along with the rim repair. Dropped my car off at the dealer, and they took care of everything. The vehicle service plan is administered by Hyundai.

I haven’t purchased the Genesis extended warranty myself, but I’d suggest reaching out to multiple dealerships—especially across state lines—to compare pricing and negotiate. Asking for breakdowns of the actual cost and “dealer markup” could help you spot a genuine deal.
