Dismissing Weather Alerts

I've not seen this issue discussed on the forum. When I received a Weather Alert from Sirius XM Weather, the long expired warning will pop up on the Nav screen for weeks at start up. Very annoying! Is there a way, once the bad weather event is expired, to dismiss the warning? Selecting "close" does not do the trick. The warning will appear when the car is started again.

I've had a similar problem, although, not after restarting the car. However, on a recent trip I got the warning and tried to close it and it kept "popping up" during the trip even after there was no longer a weather threat. It was kind of frustrating, I didn't try pulling over and turning the car off......Sorry, I have no answer for you.

Thanks for your response. At least I know I'm not the only one. This problem is not a huge issue, but a little bothersome. Thanks again.

I had a similar problem. I had one that kept popping up and eventually it went away, but you're right, it was super-annoying for a while. I was thinking at the time, "Great, these silly things don't have an expiration?" I have since gotten a couple more that behaved normally, so I'm puzzled why I had one that was "sticky" for so long.

I've also seen a similar problem with a notification for a Bluelink event. It kept telling me "time to leave" for an event that was like 2 months in the past. That too went away.

Just turn OFF the severe weather notifications - it is obviously broken. Between the several weather apps active on phone, it already sounds like a NORAD DEFCON crisis with any nearby bad weather as it is.
