Distance left on E

Just put 18.28 gal. in my Genny. The guage was a needle-width below E and the distance to empty was ----

So, it looks like there is a 1 gallon buffer. Not a thing that I'd regularly depend on, of course. In a pinch, there might be 20 miles or so left.

Yes, it was a looong thread and a bit trying to read all of the replies. And even more trying to believe some of the claims.
