do i have EHPS? 2011 4.6L with tech package

Ho do i know if I have EHPS Electro Hydraulic Power Steering?

I checked my power steering fluid and it could do with some, but which fluid do i buy?

The manual says:-
with EHPS use Pentosin CHF202
without EHPS use PSF-4

The steering isn't making any noise, i cannot see any leaks and this will be the first time i have added any fluid in 2 years.

When the alternator went bad it did affect the steering so i assume that I have EHPS but i don't want to mix fluids and cause future problems, how can i be certain?

Yes. There was no PS pump attached to belt of my 4.6 V8. It had an electric pump.

HomeofStone is correct. The 2012 4.6 has the electro-hydraulic steering.

I called the dealer and gave them my VIN and they tell me I have EHPS. Hopefully the EHPS system is very reliable as the cost to replace is silly money.

Just FYI - The non-EHPS models have a round reservoir, and use PSF-4. My 2011 v6 has non-EHPS
