Do I need to buy a new $1200 FAM unit or...?

My 2012 Genesis hazzard lights randomly come on while driving or parked with ignition off. The hyundai dealer said it was a faulty FAM unit. They wanted to sell me a new one for $1200.00. Nope. I found some used ones on ebay for $40, so I bought 3 just incase one was faulty. Put it and it worked fine for a few days. Then the random off and on flashers returned. So I tried the others and the work for a short time as well. The original one works just like the others actually. So do I need to buy a brand spanking new $1200 FAM unit or is the problem beyond the actual FAM unit?

I had the exact same problem. Bought the used EBay FAM. I didn’t solve my problem. Like you it worked for 48 hours. I returned and popped my old FAM back in. Now my ABS and ESC dash lights are on all the time. This happened before replacing FAM though. I was told to have the ground wire checked.

It wasn't the ground, now they are trying a new IPM but can't get Hyundai to call us back with the passcode? Any idea on where we can get the passcode for the install of the IPM?

It was the IPM after all. The mechanic used a workaround for programming and all the issues are now solved.
