Do I really have to push Accept every friggin time?

So its driving me crazy that everytime I start the car I have to hit accept on the stupid warning crap for the Nav, stereo etc. That seriously drives me crazy and is the only car I have ever driven that does that. Is there anyway to clear it or have it go off automatically in 10 seconds. Something Anything??

nope. gen 1 guys are still dealing with it too. My moms Optima is worse...its touch screen haah

This is definitely not just a Hyundai thing either. It happens with other brands as well. I believe Lexus is one. Maybe some BMWs as well...

The 3 Lexus I drove didn't do it. There were from 12-14, didn't drive a 15. Doesn't really matter what manufacture its a completely stupid and annoying thing! Just never seen it before and I travel a lot for work and rent a lot of vehicles

Agreed 100% - with all the IT guys, computer whiz types, etc., around , there has to be a way to kill this little monster.

Some sort of backdoor, undocumented setting perhaps?

Feel fortunate that the Nav/Radio doesn't go "grayed out" while driving. Toyota products do that and it is VERY annoying.

For example, in my wife's RX350, one can not set the destination while the car is in motion, regardless if there is a passenger or not. Absolutely nuts, but there because of the lawyers.

There is a setting on the Ultimate 9.2" screen to make it go away in 10 seconds.

From the HOME screen, select SETTINGS, select GENERAL, check the AGREEMENT SCREEN.

Yes, this is annoying. HOWEVER - the system does allow us to input address and have full functionality while in motion. Many other cars do not allow that to happen. So I think the tradeoff is ok. I bet this is how Hyundai is able to allow full functionality in motion. Just a guess.

Seriously. Every car I've owned has the warning, and none of them allowed address input. This car is light years ahead.

My Mazda CX-9 is the worst. No input and the agree button that must be pushed every time before proceeding.

I'm still surprised, that by now, somebody hasn't "hacked" the software/firmware to put the kibosh on the warning. The car is yours.

A removable sticker would have been nice - but mandatory nanny warnings are not my piece of cake.

On our BMW it can be coded to go away after a few moments. That and the lack of a height adjustment for the passenger seat are my only real complaints with the car.

I don't mind. It allows a few seconds for the engine to build oil pressure. It also gives me a few seconds to scan all the idiot lights to see if something isn't working.

Funny - I test drove a BMW many years ago to see what all the excitement was about.

My head was up against the ceiling - The salesman came over and reclined the seat about 30 deg's back and asked me if I was happy.

Never went back.

Still like the looks of the little Z4's though.

Correct. As stated above, the screen is there to make the lawyers happy. Personally I don't mind it being there. It is just one of the things I do when I get in the car. I also need to re-set Folder Repeat every time as well. That is far more annoying.

Acura also allows entry while in motion (and probably Honda as well). Most others do not.

Eventually, turning off the warning when you get in the car will become second nature. You won't even know you're doing it. That's the way it's been for me with cars that had this thing...
