  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

i've noticed that most of you genesis owners have the tech package, does anybody have just the premium plus package and pics of the interior?

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I have a Titanium Metallic Premium Plus car. Great car, no complaints.

I actually bought the 3.8 with the premium package. Awesome car without a doubt. Dealer screwed up some paperwork so I had to go back a couple of days later. Their first black/black 4.6 just arrived, with the tech package. What can I say..I had to basically plead to have them make the switch. As the first car was not yet legally titled, they did it for me, but of course I gave up some bargaining leverage on the 4.8.

Looking back and having technically owned both cars: The 3.8 engine was a great match for the car, BUT the tech package is really what sets them apart in my opinion. The additional money for the 4.8 engine was not that much more and will help with resale value unless gas goes back to $150 bb. I admit that initially I did think $4K was a very high price to pay for some additional electronic features and took a pass with the 3.8. I would pay the $4K for the tech package now, with either engine.

Yeah...bought the Premium Plus pkg back in August. Cabernet Red Pearl exterior, primary black interion, w/saddle contrast on the dash. Love the car...no complaints....there are a few pics elsewhere on the forum but only on the outside.

I can say that the navigation and upgraded electronics is well worth it. If you dont have it you wont miss it, but once you get it you cant live without it :D

I have the Premium Plus Package. I went aftermarket for NAV, and the car has all the features I want (except for maybe HIDs). I had a slight bit of regret after seeing the Tech Package, but the $5k savings (the dealership I bought from insists on marking up the Tech Package models, but does not markup lesser models) more than makes up for the relative lack of feature content IMO.

My $600 aftermarket NAV:

Can you divulge some more details about the aftermarket nav you installed?
Brand name/model? Professional install?
I'd like to see some pictures in daylight...I'm curious on how and where you had the nav screen mounted. How did you get that cool Hyundai Genesis picture to pop up? Thanks in advance.

I have the premium plus package. I didnt need the nav system so i saved the money on the tech package. looking back for all you get its a small price to pay. when my lease is over... I will probably replace this car with another v6 w/ tech.

I have some pics of the interior in my profile... but if youre looking for something in particular, let me know and ill take some pics for you.

How often do you really need a NAV system. I had one in my Q45 but only used it on trips. I have a 3.8 with prem plus and bought an $80 Magellean NAVB at Radio Shack that I just plug in when I really need it. You can stick it in the upper left corner of the windshield where it completely out of the way. Do not think the tech package is worth the extra money. Perfectly happy with my Genesis just the way it is (rebadged, of course)
