  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

No, it does not. Having owned about 28 cars in 63 years, the older they get the more likely things will wear out or break.

Sure, some exceptions along the way, but cars, appliances, our bodies tend to get worse with age.

Oh, you may want to consider a cheap fix for the rear window. Do you really have to put it up and down? One my 6 year old Buick, I just propped the rear window closed with a stick.

I read somewhere about opening the panel up and paroling the glass up and putting a stick or tie strapping it up but it said it would eventually come back down

Put two sticks. Unless it slips out, no way would it come back down. Mine lasted a couple of years until I gave the car away. Yes, gave it away, not sell the POS.

My window won’t go all the way up, I just tried, there’s about a 2 inch gap. I got the parts ordered so it will be fixed by early next week.

You would probably have to cut the mechanical cable in the regulator to move the window all the way up.
