Summer up north was tough, would be impossible in the south without AC. It was 98 on the road today. Carrier invented the electric AC, Jones made it mobile.

Jones' spark of genius for portable air conditioning came to him during a drive on a hot summer night in 1937. Though his initial idea may have been for simple comfort in a car, he soon realized air conditioning for motor vehicles could enable much more.

Wikipedia says this:
"Due to his contributions to refrigeration technology, Jones is called the "Father of Refrigerated Transportation" and the "King of Cool". He also put his many skills to use while serving in the U.S. Army. There's lots more too. He had quite an illustrious career for one man.

I'm very appreciative of his work.
