  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Anyone experience the drivers door lock not working intermittently when using the key fob to lock the doors. All other doors lock. I can get the drivers door to lock with the key fob after manually locking/unlock from the inside. It's not a broken wire issue as it will work fine for a week, and just out of the blue it will stop, until you manually play with the lock on the door panel.

My locks are all messed up, started with weird problems like one door not unlocking, now you cannot lock the car with the key fob or the door buttons.

On my car, only the driver door unlocks. The other three won't unlock from the fob/handle button/door switch. But, if I manually unlock the other three doors, they'll lock.

Last night I checked all fuses (they're good) so I disconnected the battery. I'm about to hook it up this morning and see what happens.

I just hooked up the battery and to my surprise, the door locks seem to be behaving. Maybe an overnight computer time-out banished the gremlins. After some driving we'll see if they come back.

There is a setting for that. Have you tried double pressing the button? Or go into the setting and change it to one press of the button,

It is set to default to one door as a security measure but can be changed.

Yes, I double pressed the button. I also looked at the settings and there wasn't anything wonky with them.

Like I mentioned above, I re-connected the battery this morning after having it disconnected overnight and the locks seem to be be behaving. I'm about to run some errands, so we'll see how they do.

Follow up - the locks are behaving.
