  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just purchased a new 2015 Genesis, 3.8. Love the car but at 530 miles my passenger doors would not unlock using the FOB nor the driver's door panel switch. After two days at the dealer they couldn't determine the source of the problem and tried a "Master re-start." It worked and hopefully the problem won't reoccur. Master re-start = disconnect battery and let the system caps discharge, then hook up the battery after an approximate 30 minute period. :)

Idea: My car would not open either...had fob in same pocket as blue tooth enabled Galaxy S5 cell phone. Put fob in other pocket...Walla! Wife same problem with purse...careful ladies.

Other's have reported similar issues. if my fob is the same pocket as my phone it won't work. probably some sort of electric interference...it's annoying but not a huge problem..
