Got custom downpipes for my G80 sport, I simply bought a set of stinger DPs and had my mechanic to cut them and extend them by about 6 inches, they also have an oxygen sensor so he welded a bung for that, and it sounds glorious 50% louder, I also have a Maintec Exhaust.

IMR said they are making one, but not sure when they are releasing it.

Looks like they actually made them I’m getting my G80 3.3 TT in around a week so I’m doing a little bit of research on the aftermarket since my old 5.0 had almost none

I have secondary DPs on my G80 sport, I don't think I will change the primary's just so I don't blow up the turbos.

Somewhat new to cars, Why would primary downpipes blow the turbos?

It will eliminate the back pressure causing the turbos to leak oil around the turbine shaft. You can eliminate this by
1- have an H pipe install (which I did)
2- use thicker oil during the summer time only! (I use 5w-40 during the summer)
3- buy primary down pipes with high flow cats and not catless! (I haven't bought primaries yet because I bought a custom Intercooler)

did you have to tune with catless secondaries? will i need anything extra or can i just get a catless secondary downpipe and be fine? bcus i see that for g70s and stingers that there’s no cat on the stock downpipe so all they have to do is replace it with an aftermarket one and they’re fine

No tune is needed with secondary downpipes!

so it shouldn’t throw any codes either? im not sure if stock g80 downpipes have sensors or not. but i’ve heard that g70 and stingers don’t so being that i would be ordering a downpipe originally made for the g70 or stingers would it cause issues on the g80
