  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi, new to the Forum but have a question about the memory function for the drivers seat. Having set the seats for myself and my wife, when we enter the car it only remembers the last setting. Have performed this several times and received the message on the screen that says ‘seating memory complete’ and hear 2 dings. Am I missing something or is this an actual fault?

Do you have 2 users set up?

Yes, so perform the seat set-up for both on different numbers i.e. 1 & 2

Sorry, I meant user profiles. If you set up two user profiles, it will remember a bunch of your settings, including seat set-up. My wife and I never have to push the buttons on the door handle unless for some reason, the seating got messed up under our profile.

But does it link the stored profiles to a key? I believe this is an issue, at least with the GV70..

The gv60 does not link profiles to a particular key. You have to select your profile at start up. This is a real pain in the ass.

AFAIK - the GV70 doesn't either.

I am the only driver and use DK2. Not sure how they missed the mark not linking the FOBs to a profile. We just bought an '24 Audi and I think it also does not link FOBs, still messing with it.

I would be very surprised if Audi doesn't link fobs - it's using the same software Porsche uses and Porsche does link fobs, to both seat position and stored settings in the car (and no need to make up "profiles" - everything is saved based on which key is the last one to lock the vehicle. It only saves the changes if the key - button - is used, not if the door-handle button is used.)
