  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Okay, so especially when it’s colder, the plastic on the bottom of the seat where the seat controls are and that back piece meet, squeak. Anyways to get rid of that squeak? WD40?

I've fixed plastic on plastic squeaks by using a thin strip of teflon slipped between the spot where they rub together. Maybe even try sticky backed velcro.

If it's anything like mine, what you're hearing is actually the soft plastic surround on the base of where the seat belt attaches to the driver's seat (near the b-pillar). As that soft plastic ages, it gets squeaky. Best long term solution that I've found is any "rubber conditioner" that has silicone in it. Keeps the squeak away for about a year.
