  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a 18 G80 Sport and I love everything about this car except its bucket seats. I have back issues and the seats just make me uncomfortable.

I recently got a G70 loaner with normal seats and noticed a comfort difference so it got me thinking…

The 2018-20 had a Ultimate trim with more plush looking seats, does anyone know if I could swap out the Sport trim seats with the Ulitimate trim seats? They both are heated/cooled and have the thigh extender.

This is my first post here so thanks in advance.

I've been wondering the same thing. I've got a 2019 G70, and the loaner I've had for 3 weeks is also a G70 w/ the exact same seat (color, leather, pattern) but much more comfortable on my butt (thanks chronic sciatica). The foam is 'squishier'.

I asked the dealer of a potential swap, but they said it'd cost $10k as the wiring is different. It's the EXACT same seat and the G70 has barely been changed in its 6 years. Anyone know if it really is? Or if the dealer is just trying to not bother? From my experience w/ other brands, seat swaps are generally straightforward if it's the same brand and model.

Back issues suck.

In any case, it won't be cheap. I'd check with an auto upholstery shop and see if they can help with an insert in the existing seat.
