  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Has anyone taken the front drivers seat apart to check out the heater-a/c unit, and if so, any discoveries? Easy to get to?

My heater fries my rear in settings full or mid-level, while the A/C is barely noticeable.

that's pretty much my findings as well ... although I haven't really used the A/C alot - had the car for barely 3weeks

There are several threads that discuss the a/c related issues to the nth degree (no pun intended)

Yes, long time owners may know about the several threads, but for a new owner, they can spend hours looking for it, and still not be able to fine it.

Why not just tell them where to fine the information, or even just give them the information, vice telling them that there are several threads etc.

It's fairly easy to get to by taking the back of the seat off.
I have noticed that the seat A/C doesn't work very well if I use my lumbar support. With the support almost all the way out, I get almost no cooling but if I decrease the support (deflate it), the cooling is very good. You might check this out and see if that's the case.

Now that's an interesting observation! Will try that out come spring-time.

no need to wait until spring time, it's the same with the heat function. The lumbar support apparently partially collapses the heat duct that runs from the base of the seat up the rear of the seat.
It sucks that I can't use the lumbar support and the heat/AC function together, poor design.
