  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Is there any way to turn the fog lights on during the day when the DRL are active? Flipping the little switch doesn't seem to do anything.

I have a 2016 if it makes any difference.

No, if that was possible then the car would not be 50 state legal since at least in Va and probably a lot of other states the required annual safety inspection requires fog lights to only be on with the low beam headlights. They must be off when either parking lights or high beams are on.

Interesting, I figured it might be possible since I see Sonatas with just their fog lights on all the time. They look almost identical to the Genesis fog lights.

I guess those are considered their running lights though.

Yeah it's why I added a switch to my retrofit so that I can turn it off when driving between states and/or for annual inspection. Having said that, so many cars on the roads have such bright LED DRLs that I doubt that any law enforcement actually pays any attention.
