  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I’d like to replace my DRL/turn signal bulbs with LEDs, but when I go to Rock Auto it says the DRL is a 9005 bulb while the front turn signal is a 2357.
As far as I know, the turn signals and DRL are the same thing on this car?

I have a 15’ 5.0L non-ultimate.
Thanks for any clarification, and if you have any recommendations on which ones I use.

Just do a search on this forum and you will find several threads discussing the this topic with how to info as well.

Yes, the 2015 models have the 1157 bulbs for both DRL and turn function. Lasfit makes very bright bulbs and come with a 1 yr warranty.

1157? That's a 3rd part number...

1157/2157 are pretty much identical except for the fact one is slightly brighter at the cost of a much shorter lifespan (1000 hrs vs 400 hrs). Both are interchangeable and I believe the 2157 is the brighter one.

I've replaced both of mine now. It's a 2357A bulb. A is for amber, if you just get a 2357 it will likely be a regular white light. I tried getting Sylvania LED replacements, and they gave the hyper-flash error and there really isn't much space to put a load resistor into the housings, so I ultimately scrapped the LED route.

I got the Sylvania 2357A’s and could only put it in the drivers side now, as neither one would work in the passenger side. I’m thinking of replacing the socket. But the drivers side blinks fast now.
