DVD and Ipod ?uestions

Hello all, i just bought a 2009 Genesis 4.6 fully loaded. love the car! the only issue that i have is when I plug my iphone in it says it doesnt recognize the device. Is there something special that I need to do in order for it to work? My next question is can it play videos on the screen? it has a 6 disc dvd changer and I am not sure what the it can do and cant any help would be apprectiated.

How are you connecting your iPhone? In my experience the "H" cable is useless. I connect my iPhone via Bluetooth-I use the power socket in the center armrest as a power source (power adaptor with a USB connection) I plug my normal Apple USB cable into the iPhone & then into the power adaptor - that gives me continuous power then I connect the iPhone via BT.........worked flawlessly from day 1...For an iPod I use the same type of USB cable but connect it to the "H" socket in the center console, that works flawlessly (except for the shuffle issue).. As for the DVD put a movie in a try it >>

I have the Hyundai cable and it works fine. Check to make sure the cable is okay and/or the USB port hasn't gone bad. Mine did first thing off the lot.

Is there anyone out there that might direct me to a website where I can order a 7.1 DVD-A demonstration disk? I don't know enough about it to know what to order. I found an earlier post referring to an eBay link but the item sale had ended. Any help would be appreciated.

You can play DVDs and they will display on the screen, however, the video is locked out unless in "P". That makes sense so we don't try to watch a movie while driving.... however, the audio is audible.
