Hello. I've seen this issue many times on this forum and I still wanted to post about my experience with my eGV70 and previously my G70.
So I've had a 2022 G70 that I traded in for my eGV70 and on the G70 I had the same issue with vibrations at highway speeds but not speeds like 35-55mph.
Now I got a GV70 and it was perfect until I decided to do a routine tire rotation and tire balance. Then I noticed the same issue, my steering wheel does a shimmy on perfectly paved roads at 35mph and up and on highway speeds there's just too much vibrations going on that shouldn't be there, but I understand that certain vibrations are normal for literally any car, I can definitely tell which vibrations are normal and which aren't.
So I took the SUV in a standalone Genesis dealer in North Aurora, IL and as soon as I got there we took the car for a test drive with a mechanic and of course the mechanic didn't feel anything off EVEN tho the steering wheel was visibly doing the shimmy on a PERFECTLY paved road, he claimed it was normal. So I argued with him a bit because he didn't even wanna listen and so we took a new eGV70 with 100 miles on it for a test drive, SURPRISE SURPRISE, the new one did the same thing, and he claims that that's perfectly normal for any car, I was baffled and requested that guy not to work on my car but somebody else.
They gave me a G70 loaner that I drove back on the highway and I noticed even on that car the steering wheel was vibrating a bit but not as much as on mine or on my previous car which was a 2022 G70.
I've also done some balancing at Discount Tire that DID NOT help the issue at all, but maybe even make it worse. The dealership will be checking the alignment today and hopefully balance the wheels to see if they can fix it, if not I already made a warranty claim with Michelin for the tires, so that If that doesn't help i'll try to get new tires and talk to discount tire to somehow get store credit to get a HANKOOK new set of tires, because I've read on here by some people that after getting new HANKOOK tires their vibrations were completely gone.
