  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi everyone!
I am confused every time I start the radio FM in G90 2020. It shows the word "Eiffel" for each channel and the correct channel name shows after clicking the channel with the black nub. So I have to go through all saved channels every time I start the radio.
Any idea is appreciated please.

Eiffel is a computer programming language. Your radio is attempting to communicate with you. I’m guessing it’s trying to tell you to make contact with your dealer.

I also have the 2020 G90. Awesome car. I'have never seen (or heard of) your problem, but curious to learn what it turns out to be when you find out. I would call your dealer. By the way, I've also never heard of "Royal Specs" - is this a country-specific trim level? I'm in Canada, only one trim level offered - "Prestige" with choice of engine (V8 or 3.5. The V8 Prestige includes everything standard except the two rear screens (the only option). Where are you based?

Hi
Thank you for the post. I shall see this problem with the dealer at 10k km service.
Royal specs because it is a special order from the beginning sir.
I paid for it in Feb and got it in Jun. Full Royal except the engine only. Based in Saudi Arabia.

Beautiful car!!! On a tangent, and just out of curiosity, what is the temperature where you are? We've been in the 41.x (C) for the last few days in central Texas.

Hi, we are very happy when it is 41 :)
Two weeks ago, it reached 52 C, and I was freezing inside this dude.

Holy!!!! 52!!! In Canada, I think we would melt. We are having a record-hot summer this year... hit 41. We died! haha. (Mind you, in winter, we sometimes hit -41 (or even lower. My coldest day was -55C. Brutal).

Anyway, love your G90. I googled "Royal Spec" in UAE. I think it is the same as "Prestige" in Canada. No? Essentially loaded with every feature they offer.... I didnt see any new features that isnt available here. Are there some custom specs?

Hi DarinG90,
I love it too. It is my award to myself after retirement. I decided to buy it after full search between different makes. It turned out to be an excellent investment. I think the best test that it faced is our summer here nowadays indeed.
Regarding specifications, simply, it is full Royal that usually comes with 5.0, but the engine is 3.8 instead of 5.0 . Custom? Yes, I signed on a list of all specifications for Royal when I order for it in Feb 2020.

To be honest, I am surprised that Prestige is the only choice in Canada. I remember that the dealer here told me they have 3 trim levels.

Hi DarinG90,
I am attaching the file for the trim levels offered here.
By the way, Hyundai take customization seriously, and the best example is with Hyundai USA near to you.

You can choose the 3.5tt or the V8, and whether to have the rest screens or not. That's it. Even awd is standard and rwd is not available.

The Canadian market for such cars is small, so they are trying to minimize cost and inventory.

From the looks of it, Prestige in Canada is the same as Royal in the UAE. We only get the option of V8 versus V6, and the rear screens. Thats it. Everything else I see listed in your attachement is included on my Prestige package. I'll see if I can attach a link.

Here it is Login - Genesis at Home Genesis Canada's website to Build+Buy the G90. Only one trim level...

(hmm, that link may not work for you - might have to log in. Not sure)

Believe me, the Canadian dealers will change their mind soon. G90 is taking off vertically high among luxurious cars. I am sure they will not like the idea of Canadians go through the US border and bring them from there.

Well, they can't do that from the US. The US - Canada autopact is extremely rigid and very intensely enforced. I brought a US car back to Canada once when I moved back. Weeks of paperwork, inspections, French stickers, plus I had to pay all the difference in price via import taxes. Not worth it at all.

Once Genesis becomes more popular here I am sure they will offer more options, but not until then. I've had my G90 since March and I have yet to see another in Montréal. Not one! (frankly, most people here have never heard of Genesis, much less considered buying one. They have a long way to go yet)
