Back up camera stopped working had it checked out and was told I need a new wiring harness that is very expensive. Has anyone else had this issue.
2015 Genesis 3.8 sedan.

We are at 61k miles on our 2015 sedan and unfortunately our rear camera stopped working. The dealer took a look and said the floor wiring harness 'wore out from opening/closing of the trunk' and it will cost $5k to repair. I'm curious if this is bad luck (just out of warranty) or bad design...

Backup camera/trunk release button/approach auto trunk not working

I've searched for an answer here...I know there are several threads on this, but none give what I'm looking for. My camera started flickering, then only worked when it wanted to.....then wouldn't turn on at all.... (over a couple months time) I have a blue screen that still shows the alignment...

Your existing harness can be repaired in-place for much much less than the cost of replacing it.

The dealer said I need a body harness, can these wires be spliced in order to fix the problem. I live in Maryland if anyone knows of a good repair shop please let me know.
